Custom Pipe Fabrication

As a national mechanical contractor IHP has always prefabricated any welding assembly at one of our two fabrication shops to take advantage of lower-cost "shop conditions" and to lessen our exposure to field, weather and local conditions. IHP has fabricated hundreds of projects for itself, third party installers, plants, owners, and OEM's.

IHP maintains a fully functioning drafting department in each of its two offices.

Let IHP fabricate your next piping project with the knowledge that we are fabricating for you like we were installing ourselves. Our capabilities include in-house manual and CAD pipe detailing for spool sheets and isometric drawings used to accurately prefabricate piping components. These spool sheets follow the fabricated components when shipped to the field, and allow for precise installation by your field crews.

IHP has code certified welders and welding procedures for all types of applications including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, and others. The multi-shift capable shop is tooled with manual, semi-automatic, and/or automatic equipment including welders (SMAW, TIG, MIG, and orbital), positioners, power rollers, cutting tables, bevellers, threading machines, metal punches, large band saws, high frequency welders, plasma arc machines, overhead crane, and forklifts.

Drafting Department

IHP maintains a fully functioning drafting department in each of its two offices. We are fully capable of reading formats in AutoCAD as well as Microstation. Additionally we support a number of plotters and engineering copiers to facilitate quick and seamless connectivitiy to both government and private engineering entities. We can generate automatic or manual spool sheets for our pipe fabrication and construction departments.
